Bits and Bites
Yay! I have a computer again, so more frequent updates are in the my future! It really sucked to want to write an entry only to have to wait until the roomie deigned to let me on his computer. Usually by then I'd have forgotten what I wanted to talk about, or I'd have too much email to check and Kryptonite to talk to, as well as other online friends. Smutty fanfic has a bad tendancy to take over my inbox--it's not a good thing.

So, the school thing is going well, I got an A+ on a paper I thought kicked my sorry mature student ass, I loaded up the gas kiln on Thursday with the bulk of my pieces from last semester, and it's reading week which means I finally have time to catch up on the rest of my schoolwork. I'm mostly caught up as it is, so I can also catch up on my personal projects and some costume commissions. Yay spring break!

As well, I had to lead a 5-minute class discussion on Friday in my craft history class. I had as my subject a review of the essay 'Queer Stigmata: The Embroidery of Robert Windrum' by Robin Metcalfe. It was a great article, and I got to stand at the lecturn with the little mic clipped to me, read from the bible I brought and say the word cunt, all in five minutes. I was very pleased. I also got to talk about subverting the dominant culture, the reclaiming of words, and the dichotomy of female and male, and deviant sexuality and family values. Fun fun fun! I am such an art geek.

In other news, I think Kryptonite broke me. I have sore muscles, and I could use a nap. He himself said that he didn't know if he could've lasted the whole weekend, and I said that if he'd been here for two days instead of one, we'd have paced ouselves a bit better. Instead, we pretty much broke ourselves yesterday afternoon. We're too silly. I have to say that this long distance thing really strings out the must-have-you-now as-many-times-as-possible sex, which I'm enjoying quite a bit.

I am a beast.

Butch seems to be doing a bit better--Nezumi and I went to see her first kickboxing match on Friday, and she won! I gave her the nickname 'the Dozer' because she's just solid and unstoppable. THe woman who was her opponent was jujmping all around her, and just couldn't get away! It was really cool. Today we're having supper with her roommate for his birthday. She's cooking a ham in my slowcooker, and I think we're going to watch Shrek on TV later on. Her new meds are making her kind of disoriented and dizzy after she takes them, but I think they're going to help her out. Also, winter will be over soon.
