I Miss You Lee.
So, someone I know passed on last night. She'd been fighting cancer since I knew her--she was an amazing woman. Despite numerous operations to remove brain tumours, she was always in good spirits, always taking dance classes and bellydancing at her house, always trying to help the local dance community. She was really sweet. When I was taking classes with her, I'm pretty sure she paid my fees for me one term when I couldn't afford to go to class. My teacher just told me I had an anonymous benefactor, but I'm pretty sure it was her. She used to give me a lift home after class, and make me drive, telling me to be her chauffer, in her bright turquoise car with pink butterfly trim.

And I didn't see her enough, and I miss her. Crazy old lady. God, she was fabulous. SnowWhite and I were going to go and visit her in the hospital on Sunday and dance for her and stuff, and now it's too late. The last time I saw her was at a bellydance performance at the Fringe Festival. She looked so small.

She was still wearing bright orange and sparkles, though.

I'm glad she's not in pain anymore.
